Band hunt for Konjam Koffee Konjam Kadhal Want a chance to score music for a film. Here is an opportunity for it. The movie crew of K4 have unleashed a band hunt competition where the contestants should compose and sing one Song in Tamil or English or both mixed in the given theme Konjam Koffee Konjam Kaadhal, Song can be based on Coffee or Love or on both. Auditions will take place on 10 and 11 August (9 am) Balamandhir German Hall, Prakasham Street, T Nagar. Contestants can perform in rock, classical, folk, cinematic, Hip Hop etc. Duration of the song shouldn’t exceed more than six minutes and not less than three miunutes. The lyric and the composition has to be original and done by the contestants. Contestants must provide the copy of the lyrics before the audition. They must be present and ready to perform at their scheduled time near the backstage entrance at least 15 minutes prior to the playoff round or they will be disqualified. If a playoff is required and a contestant band is not present, the award will go to the other competitor. No band member may compete in more than one band. The top ten contestants from the band contest will perform on 16 August at Kamarajar Arangam, Annasalai, Chennai. Winner will walk away with Rs one lakh as prize money. Veterans Nasser and Revathy, along with 23 new faces, are playing crucial roles in Konjam Koffee Konjam Kadhal (KKKK), a film directed by Venky, who runs a theatre group. 'KKKK takes pride in introducing 23 new faces to the Tamil screen, including the lead pair and also a few technicians. I am happy to have Nasser and Revathy on board,' says its director Venky. 'The male lead is played by Hriday who had a lucky start to his career when he debuted as a child artiste in Mani Ratnam’s Bombay where he along with his twin brother played the sons of Arvind Swamy and Manisha Koirala. The female lead is Aditi Chengappa, an actor and model from Delhi. The other introductions play various supporting roles in the film. Contest will be judged on 30% - Material Selection — difficulty, taste, authenticity/originality. 30% - General Instrumental Musicianship — rhythm & timing, intonation, expression, 30% - Vocal Performance — intonation and overall vocal quality for both leads and harmony singing. 10% - Stage Presence — audience rapport and entertainment value Decision by the Judges will be Final.
